Guy has over twenty years experience as a professional pianist, keyboard player and singer. He has performed as a solo artist as well as in various instrumental and vocal ensembles.  His experience includes the recording studio as well as live performance.

His work as a lounge/hotel pianist includes a six year residency as Front of House Pianist at Newcastle Theatre Royal from 1999 to 2005. He has also worked as a pianist for Thistle, Vermont, Best Western, and  De Vere hotels, as well as for private and corporate functions, performing in the UK and internationally.


In May 2014 Guy released a compilation called Although You Cannot See Me, recorded with the Irish Singer/Songwriter Kathy Crinion.


In October 2013 Guy's album Ictal Variations featured in the international Epilepsy Arts exhibition Hidden Truths Project in California.   


Season 2012 Guy was resident piano-vocalist and Elton John tribute act on board the Thomson Spirit and Thomson Majesty cruise ships.


He worked onboard the SAGA Pearl 2 as cocktail piano/vocalist from May to July 2011, performing with Sally Jones, Anthony Stuart-Lloyd, and Lt Col Malcolm Torrent as well as guest performances with the SAGA Pearl 2 Orchestra.  


He has given several charity performances for charities including Epilepsy Action, Marie Curie Nurses, and Coping With Cancer North East, the latter for which he wrote and recorded the song, Flying High, with the International Opera Singer Suzannah Clarke in 2003.

 

Guy has been involved as a singer, musical director, and assistant musical director in productions of Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Stepping Out, Annie, Little Shop of Horrors, and Grease, and was 2nd keyboard player for a PETROC production of Pirates of Penzance at Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe. 

 

As a composer he has been commissioned to write and record original pieces/songs for weddings, and book launches, and as a lyricist he has written lyrics to the music of film composer Michael Hoppe. Guy has composed music across several genres including ballads, jazz, folk, music theatre, film, country, and contemporary music.

 

 He was Musical Director for the North Devon based community choir MishMash, and keyboard player, singer and backing vocalist for The Alchemists Band. He was also a radio presenter on hospital radio station Tarka Radio at the North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple.
